I disagree totally with the idea, because most of MBA holders are not that shallow to think that the MBA is a pass key to success in business..

Any MBA program provides the most abstract and common theories and methodologies...and i think that every single one has his own way to map and use this common background in the real world..

Me for example, I work in BPM solutions and consult companies in their strategic initiatives starting form strategy formulation to execution using many techniques and frameworks like Enterprise Architecture (TOGAF or Zachman)...I can say that without having an MBA, i wouldn't be able to link business parts together, like having a strategy for R&D and make the marketing people involved in it .. or evaluating the need for an Agile operation with the COO..

also no one can understand market dynamics if he can't relate economics, trends, mergers and acquisitions, technology, business insights, market reports...etc.

you may even don't understand what i am saying here if you don't have an MBA :).

Again, having an MBA is not a target by itself, yet, it is a great tool for mind shaping.
